Review of Easy Paycheck Formula by Sara Young
Easy Paycheck Formula 2 by Sara Young isn’t as bad as a lot of the other internet marketing products I’ve reviewed, but does that necessarily mean it’s worth paying for? Probably not.
Difficult to Follow Training
My first big problem with Easy Paycheck Formula is something that I think anybody watching this review could relate to, and that’s the fact that if you want to learn material really well, if you want really good training, you have to be taught by a really good teacher—someone that teaches the material very effectively and very well. That becomes a problem, because I don’t really think that’s one of Sara Young’s strong points, and in order to demonstrate this, I want to play a really quick video clip from the members’ area that I think is representative of how this is a problem through all of the trainings.
“Hello! This is Sara Young. In this course we’re going to be promoting hot, popular Amazon products. So, the first thing we need to do before we get started is pick some products to promote.”
Now, as I already mentioned, all of the videos in the member’s area for Easy Paycheck Formula are going to be just like that—they’re very slow, they’re very painstaking, they sound very unnatural and very uncomfortable and they sound really scripted—and that’s really bad, because when you’re talking about training and you want to learn really, really well, you need something that’s at least a little bit engaging and a little bit entertaining to get really good training and take it all in. So that’s my first problem with Easy Paycheck Formula.
Potentially Deadly Instructions (for Your Business)
Now, I’m going to get a little bit more serious in my second problem with Easy Paycheck Formula, and that is the fact that Sara Young instructs you to build the entire foundation of your affiliate marketing business on Squidoo lenses instead of building out your own websites. I want to talk to you about why that’s actually a really, really big problem.
Historically in the past, it was kind of easy to get Squidoo lenses some authority and get them ranked towards the top of the search engines, but in the past months, as a lot of things have changed with the major search engines, it’s not really as easy as it was in the past. There’s not really a big advantage there, and there are actually some really big disadvantages to building out your entire affiliate marketing business on Squidoo instead of taking a few hours to learn how to build out your own website—because it’s not that hard anymore, these days.
What if Google Penalizes All of Squidoo?
Say, for example, that Google one day decided to kind of penalize—not necessarily even penalize, but not rank Squidoo Lenses as high in their search rankings across the board—because this has historically happened for other website. Say, for example, that Google does that for Squidoo. Your website drops in the rankings, even though you’ve taken the time and you’ve done the magical thing of building authority (which is very difficult as it is) and then Google just kind of flat-lines your business by moving it down the search engines, because it was on Squidoo’s domain. That’s a problem you would never face if you built your own website on your own domain name. That’s the first real big problem.
What if Squidoo Changes Their Quality Standards?
The second really big problem is, say for example, one day Squidoo changes their quality guidelines, and your quality, your content on your website is no longer high-enough quality for Squidoo’s standards. They actually have the power to reach in and just close down your website—and that’s not something somebody else can do if you build a website on your own domain name. So, a lot of things are out of your control if you build the entire foundation of your affiliate marketing business on Web 2.0 sites like Squidoo—and that is all that you’re learning in Easy Paycheck Formula with Sara Young—and that’s a really big problem.
Link Building Strategies are Out-of-Date
My third and final problem with the program is that the link-building strategies being taught to you Easy Paycheck Formula are actually out of date. A lot of stuff is happened in Google over the past few months and other major search engines as well, to the point that a lot of the link-building strategies that were being taught in other programs and also being taught in Easy Paycheck Formula —now, instead of helping your website move up in the search engines like they used to, actually hurt your website because Google and other major search engines are actually penalizing a lot of the things that used to get your website rewarded and move it up the rankings.
That’s certainly the case for Easy Paycheck Formula and even at one point, Sara Young takes you over into a presentation and she explains what you should use Fiverr for when you’re building back-links—and if you’re not familiar with Fiverr, it’s an outsourcing platform where you can get services done for really cheap, usually for $5. Actually, what’s going to happen there—and it’s not necessarily always going to hurt your website—but if you’re going over to Fiverr to build back-links, you’re significantly going to get a gig that’s going to hurt your website than to pay someone for a gig that’s going to help your website when you’re talking back-linking.
It’s not really something that people should be teaching new affiliate marketers, because it’s kind of like playing with fire; you don’t know exactly what you’re going to get over there at Fiverr, and it could significantly hurt your rankings. It’s not just the issue of her teaching you to go over to Fiverr—it’s across the entire members’ area. The back-linking strategies and the link-building strategies being taught in Easy Paycheck Formula are just out-of-date to the point that they could get your website hurt.
The Final Verdict
So, should you buy Easy Paycheck Formula 2 by Sara Young? Well, unlike a lot of my reviews, this one is a little bit more difficult to call. Usually it’s a really clear “no,” but within Easy Paycheck Formula, there is some information that’s valid, that’s helpful—that if you’re brand new to affiliate marketing, could give you some direction. But really what it comes down to is you’re paying $97 for a product with a lot of information that could very well get you started down the wrong path in affiliate marketing, and for that kind of money there are better resources, there are better tools and there are better programs out there—and there’s even free training out there that’s better than what you’re being taught in Easy Paycheck Formula.
So, I personally would lean towards “no.” If you’re looking for direction as to whether or not you should buy the program, I would say “no.” But if you do end up buying it, there’s going to be some information in there that you might find helpful, but for $97, I’m not necessarily sure that you should spring for it.
